This classic looking Vanagon has an interesting sun visor. It seems to be made out of bamboo. We’ve seen visors before, but never bamboo. Check out the passenger’s door. It has some kind of a roll down shade too.

Here is another acrylic sun visor for the Vanagon. This one is red, and is available from Kuda in the UK. They don’t appear to have other colors so you will have to have a van whose color matches red. It also seems to sit a little higher than other visors we have seen. I have never felt the need for a visor, but if you want to add some character to your van, this may be one way to do it.
This is definitely not the first time we’ve seen a sun visor for the Vanagon, but I thought this van was interesting. The sun visor comes courtesy of a european company called BBT, and it is called an “Australian Sun Visor.” They offer various accessories for VW’s and the sun visor is one of their products. It gives the Vanagon a vintage look, but I’m not sure I’d have the guts to put one on my van.
There is a lot to say about this monster, but the sun visors are the most obvious. Where in the world did this guy get those? He has one visor on the top, and an clear orange visor on the bottom. And what about the exhaust pipes coming out of the side of the van? Those appear to be just for show. He has a spoiler on the back, a rotating orange (siren) light, as well as mounted fog lights, a custom body kit, and lowering springs. This guy has definitely hacked up his van and should be contributing his ideas to our blog!

This is a unique, and very interesting, T25 camper that was recently for sale in Manchester, England. Check out the top. The luggage rack is in the rear. This guy has several accessories on this van including a sun visor, some kind of antenna (TV?), awning, mud flaps, and what appears to be steel running rods. If you look closely you can see the door handles are also painted red along with the bumpers. This is a unique camper and someone was lucky to find it. Check out the listing on GumTree.
This Syncro Doka double cab truck is insane. It has so many hacks, but my favorite is the steel plated roof rack. It is housing a spare tire or two, and a set of driving lights. This monster also has a heavy duty external sun visor, a winch, and semi truck side mirrors. The custom rear compartment looks pretty heavy duty too. This looks like a work truck turned into an insane toy.
This Syncro Westy is packed with accessories. Is there an accessory she does not have? Look at the side mounted ladder and front bumper bull bar with driving lights. How about the roof mounted driving lights or the extra side view mirror? The front grill has an eyelid and the windshield has a sun visor. And, oh yeah, it has aftermarket wheels.
This 1990 double cab Syncro was for sale recently in Saginaw, MI. It has several homemade hacks including the diamond plate bumper and sun visor. This Doka has a Subaru engine so there is plenty of power. The rear folding bed slides are gone in favor of a homemade bed, but it also features truck exhaust and roof mounted horns.
