This 1990 Westy has been restored in a huge way. It looks nearly brand new. The owner put it up for sale a few years ago so who knows who owns it now. It’s been lowered a bit, but the owner says the 16 inch wheels don’t rub and the ride is smooth. I would love to own this van. Click through for more pics.

Does it get any better than this key lime green T3? This one has so many nice touches, it’s hard to decide what its best feature is. It has nice wheels of course, and the whole thing is lowered. The spoiler on the roof adds a nice touch, as does the black plate with the VW logo on the rear bed. Removing the drop down sides in favor of a black railing also adds a unique look to this truck.

fav-vanagon

This is one of my favorite Vanagons ever. I know nothing about it or its owner, but I just can’t take my eyes off of it. Is it the lowered stance? Is it the wheels? Is it the color? Is it just this particular photo? I don’t know what it is. All I know is it is one of my favs ever. I found it on the Samba.

Many Vanagon owners choose to lower their ride. In fact, Volkswagen started the trend when they released the Wolfsburg and Carat editions that had one inch lowering springs. Lowered Vanagons can look great, but how low is too low? This brown Vanagon looks a bit low. I wonder how it rides. When I bought my Vanagon they had lowered it and the ride suffered so we raised it back up. Click through to see a few more lowered Vanagons.
