laminate

This is a nice installation of Allure TrafficMASTER Flooring in the Vanagon. Samba user Christopholi chose the “African Wood” for his van. He filled the floor channels with plywood then installed the laminate over the top of that. It looks great, but he did not use any sound proofing so it’s a bit louder than with his carpet. He did the job for $85. Not bad.

Check out the layer of plywood he put down before the laminate. He says,

Sadly, one box – 24 sq.ft. – is not quite enough to do a non-kitchen floorspace all the way under the rear seats. I need about 1/3 of a piece to finish. I also need to come up with something to protect the leading edge. At this point, I am at about $85 all in.
